After testing out the 20 unreciprocated message limit, MyBlogLog continue its fight against spamming. MyBlogLog has rolled out two major changes over the last couple of days.
The first one is displaying community members by relevance. The members on the member list were displayed according to the date they joined a blog. Now, it is determined by an algorithm base on relevance. The more relevant the member is to your blog, the higher he would appear on the page.
The ranking would change over time; relevant members will go higher eventually. Right now, MG, Gregg, Chris, Greg Laden and Atul are the members that represent MathPoints the most. This is definitely an interesting change; remember to check out their blogs too!
The second MBL change was cutting out all the animated gif avatar and community images. According to MBL, they have received lots of complaints from users on the distraction that these images created. I believe most of us know what images they are referring to, right?

MBL/Shoemoney Case Comes to a Good End
Eric from MyBlogLog posted an apology to Shoemoney and reinstated his membership in his blog. It was a good move by Eric and it seems like the best thing to do. On the other side, Shoemoney also accepted the apology and moved on. So, the whole drama seems to come to a good end.

Shoemoney Banned from MyBlogLog
Shoemoney, one of the hottest blog in the Blogosphere confirmed he has been banned from MyBlogLog, which has been recently acquired from Yahoo.
Here is the recap, Shoemoney had made a couple of posts regarding to the bugs he found in MBL. Some of the bugs that was found and now fixed included:
- using someone's account to surf MBL
- hack other people's account joining a community
- getting free targeted keyword links on MBL
- make some famous people co-author your site
I think it is a loss-loss situation. MBL lost a valuable member in their community and there are lots of Shoemoney fans criticized the move. At the same time, Shoemoney lost a decent medium that is helpful to his blog. Hopefully, it won't end like this, maybe MBL will re-evaluate the situation again later on and re-initiate his membership. Afterall, his community page is still there."Although we would certainly have appreciated that he email us first, it’s his decision where he would like to publish them. We banned him for publishing other people’s data on the site and urging readers to spoof them."

Paris & Britney Joined MyBlogLog, Who's Next?
As fellow bloggers Parislemon and Webomatica pointed out, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears have joined the MyBlogLog community. Both contacts and official sites are run by their PR and both celebrities probably have no idea that their official sites have joined a new cyber community (I don't think they would mind though). Not that it will do anything for me, by I think it is still cool to have Britney and Paris in my contact list.
Anyway, now that Paris and Britney have joined, Who are the next celebrities/famous persons you want to see in MyBlogLog?1) Steve Job (Apple CEO)
Could you imagine how many people would sign up for MyBlogLog if Steve Job has joined? All the Apple fanboys would be bombarding him with any iPod, Mac related questions. People would be leaving him messages asking for free iPod and free iPhone. There is little doubt that his blog would become the biggest community.2) George Bush (United States President)
The most influential man on Earth probably never searches online or reads blogs after he became the US president. He should have all the assistants he needs that can help him found what he wants and listen to the filtered news. If he ever came to the community and spent sometimes reading stuff that people wrote about him, that would probably changed lots of things (I think he would learned what a Google Bomb is at the very least). Of course, his community would have the most flamed messages in the world that would probably bring down the server down.3) Lindsay Lohan (US Celebrity)
Hey Britney and Paris are here, so she should be here too! All three of them will get all the paparazzi here and make this place like a tabloid. At the end, they would probably be trying to fight against each other on the title of Celebrities With the Most "fans".
