Parislemon just tagged me for this magazine meme where you list the magazine you read. Okay, I am going to cheat a little bit because I don't read too many magazines anymore (there is so much to read online already). Here it is, a couple of sports magazine I used to read regularly:
- SLAM: simply the best basketball magazine.
- Sport Illustrated: I like to keep their season preview issues and see how wrong they are at the end of the season. Tom Verducci is my favorite baseball columnist; I'm not sure what predictive model he used but his pre-season predictions on pitchers is 95% accurate.
- ESPN Magazine: got a cheap subscription with the ESPN membership.

By default, the wordpress comment section is ‘nofollow,’ meaning that when someone places their link in your blogs comments section, it passes no pagerank.
This really is a debatable point, and what you do will depend on your business model. By turning your blogs comment section into a ‘dofollow’ you will attract a lot more comments, while giving away pagerank at the same time.
For my business model, this is a “dofollow’ blog for my comments because I am more concerned about relationships than about pagerank. I feel that the benefits far exceed the negatives.
